Kostrova Anna Alexandrovna (nee Lukyanova) (November 22, 1909, the village of Bialystok, Omsk province, Russian Empire - July 7, 1994, St. Petersburg, Russian Federation) - Soviet artist, painter, graphic artist, book illustrator, member of the Leningrad organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. In 1925, Anna Kostrova entered the Omsk Art-Industrial College. She studied with V. Trofimov and S. Feldman.

After graduating from college in 1930, Anna Kostrova arrived in Leningrad. He works in the plant of visual agitation and propaganda at the Lensoviet. At the same time he visits art studios at the City Committee of Izo and the Central House of Artists. She was familiar with M.V. Matyushin and K. S. Malevich, wrote memoirs about him. In 1933-1936, Anna Kostrova, together with artists E. Charushin, V. Kurdov, Yu. Vasnetsov, A. Vedernikov, worked in the youth group of the Experimental lithographic workshop at the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists under the direction of G. Vereisky, N. Tyrsa and N. Lapshin .

Since 1934, Anna Kostrova participated in exhibitions. She painted portraits, landscapes, still lifes, full-scale studies, illustrated books. She worked in the technique of oil painting, watercolor, pencil drawing, lithography and linocut. In the 1930s, together with her husband, artist Nikolai Kostrov, she made creative trips to the White and Barents Seas, to the Crimea, Novgorod, and Ukraine. In 1940, Anna Kostrova was admitted to the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists.

In 1950-1970, Anna Kostrova illustrated children's books for the largest publishing houses in Moscow and Leningrad. Together with Nikolai Kostrov, she made creative trips to Armenia, Norway, the ancient cities of the Vologda and Vladimir-Suzdal lands, a cruise along the Danube. She worked in the houses of artists «Chelyuskinskaya», «Hot Key», «Sednev», in Senezh. Impressions from these trips served as material for numerous graphic and pictorial works.

Solo exhibitions of Anna Kostrova took place in Leningrad (1973, 1977, 1979), and in Moscow (1974, 1983).

Anna Alexandrovna Kostrova died on July 7, 1994 in St. Petersburg at the 85th year of her life.
