Vorobyeva Irina Nikolaevna (1932-1993) - graphic artist, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1958), Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1979). Irina Nikolaevna was born on September 7, 1932 in Moscow. In 1943 she entered and in 1950 graduated from the Moscow Secondary Art School with a silver medal (teachers A.O.Barshch, V.V. Pochitalov, D.N.Domogatsky). In 1951 she entered and in 1957 graduated with honors from the Moscow State Art Institute. Surikov's workshop of easel graphics by E.A. Kibrika. Teachers - M.V. Matorin (linocut), M.A. Dobrov (etching), P.I. Suvorov (lithograph), B.A. Dekhterev (book graphics), M.M. Cheremnykh (poster). Thesis - a series of linocut «People of the virgin land». From 1957 to 1961 - print artist in Izogiz. In 1964-1967 - print artist at the Moscow Graphic Art Works of the Moscow organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. She developed a peculiar technique of printing - an engraving on cardboard.
She was elected a member and chairman of the bureau of the graphic section, a member of the board and deputy chairman of the board for the youth commission of the Moscow organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR, a member of the board of the Culture Fund of the Moscow Region and a member of the Audit Commission of the USSR Union of Artists. She was awarded the medal «For Labor Valor» (1976), «For Labor Merit» (1986).
Works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery and in 90 museums and art galleries in the country, as well as in Finland, France, Bulgaria, Germany, Egypt.
