Charushin Evgeny Ivanovich

Charushin Evgeny Ivanovich (1901-1965) - graphic artist, writer, honored art worker of the RSFSR (1945). Studied at the Academy of Arts (1922-1926) under A.I. Savinova and A.A. Rylova. Since 1927, a graphic artist at the Leningrad children's department of the State Publishing House. The author of illustrations for the books of V.K. Arsenyev, V.V. Bianchi, S. Ya. Marshak, M.M. Prishvin, N.I. Sladkov, K.I. Chukovsky, as well as to his own books («Volchishko and others», 1931; «Nikitka and his friends», 1938; «My first zoology», parts 1-3, 1942-1944; «Animals», 1949; «About big and small», 1952; «About Tomka», 1957). He created easel lithographs for children, was engaged in painting on porcelain and small plastic for the Leningrad Porcelain Factory.
