Gritsenko Elena Anatolyevna

Gritsenko Elena Anatolyevna (1947) - graphic artist, born in Krasnoyarsk. She graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Art College named after V.I. Surikov (1967) and the graphic department of the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin (1973). In 1972 - meeting with V.V. Sterligov and classes under his leadership. Thesis at the All-Russian Academy of Arts - a series of colored linocuts «In the Baltic States».

Participant of exhibitions of Leningrad unofficial art (1974-1975, GK and Nevsky Palace of Culture), all exhibitions of the so-called «school» or «Sterligov group», three of her personal exhibitions took place in the 1990s. Member of the International Federation of Artists (IFA, 1991). Lives and works in St. Petersburg. It belongs to the tradition of interpreting the experience of the Russian avant-garde and mastering the methods of shaping practiced in the 1920s at the Leningrad State Institute of Artistic Culture led by K. Malevich. His works are in the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg, the Arkhangelsk Museum of Fine Arts, the Joint Directorate of Museums of the Leningrad Region, private collections in Russia, Austria, France, the USA, Germany, Finland, Italy.
