Konyashin Oleg Alexandrovich (1938 - 2019) - graphic artist, Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1970). Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1999). Honorary Citizen of the city of Alatyr (1994). Oleg Alexandrovich was born on August 11, 1938 in the city of Alatyr, Chuvash region. He lived in the city of Elektrostal. Graduated from the Penza Art School named after I. K.A. Savitsky in 1958, teacher Evgeny Alekseevich Nozdrin. Moscow Polygraphic Institute, 1961-1966, teachers: A. D. Goncharov - professor, student of V. A. Favorsky; V.N. Lyakhov - Doctor of Arts.
Since 1966 the artist has been working in the publishing houses «Imaginative literatura», «Soviet Russia», «Think», collaborates with publishing houses in Izhevsk, Saratov, Kaliningrad, etc. He illustrates and designs books by Russian and foreign writers and poets. Participant of regional, zonal, republican, all-union and international exhibitions. The first personal exhibition took place in Alatyr in 1994.

Konyashin Oleg Alexandrovich died on June 23, 2019.
