Krestovsky Yaroslav Igorevich (1925-2003) - painter, artist-restorer. From 1937 to 1941 studied at the Secondary Art School at the All-Russian Academy of Arts. From 1944 to 1948 he studied at the Leningrad Higher School of Industrial Art named after V.I.Mukhina at the department of masters of alfrey painting. From 1948 to 1950 he worked in the State restoration workshops as an artist-restorer of wall paintings.
In 1956 he graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin, theatrical and decorative workshop of M.P. Bobyshov. Since 1956 - a member of the Leningrad organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. Participant of more than 60 exhibitions. Of these, the most important: an exhibition of works by eleven artists on Okhta, Leningrad, 1972; exhibition of works by three Leningrad artists, Moscow, 1986 (together with V. Rakhina and L. Tkachenko); Exhibition «36» (Together with Leningraders and Muscovites), Leningrad, Central Exhibition Hall, 1990.
The works of Ya.I. Krestovsky are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and other museums of the country (in total - 29 museums), as well as in galleries and private collections in Germany, Holland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, USA, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
