Dmitry Georgievich Oboznenko (July 10, 1930, Leningrad, USSR - June 19, 2002, St. Petersburg, Russian Federation) - Russian painter, graphic artist, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1978), member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists (until 1992 - Leningrad Union Organization artists of the RSFSR). Born July 10, 1930 in Leningrad. He studied at the secondary art school. In 1951 he entered the first year of the painting department of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin. He studied with teachers of Vladimir Gorb, Valery Pimenov, Vitaly Valtsev, Rudolf Frents.
In 1957, Oboznenko graduated from the institute in the workshop of Professor Joseph Serebryany. Thesis - painting «Nightingales», dedicated to soldiers of the Great Patriotic War. In the same year, the picture was exhibited at the All-Union Art Exhibition in Moscow [3]. In one issue with Oboznenko, Ilya Glazunov, Ivan Varichev, Galina Rumyantseva, Zlata Byzova, Elena Gorokhova, Vladimir Malevsky and other young artists who later became famous painters graduated from the institute. In the same year, Oboznenko was admitted to the Leningrad Union of Artists.
Since 1957 he participated in exhibitions, exhibiting his works together with the works of leading masters of fine art of Leningrad. He painted portraits, genre and battle compositions, landscapes, sketches from nature. Engaged in satirical graphics. He worked in the technique of oil and tempera painting, drawing. The main works that have brought recognition to the artist are devoted to the theme of the Great Patriotic War, the image of a Russian soldier, a moral victory in the confrontation of cruelty and evil. Among the works created by the artist, the paintings «In the Garden» (1957), «Girl with a Hat» (1958), «Pier in Kizhi», «On the Barricades» (both 1960), «Kizhi» and «Strike» (both 1961) , «Willow Blossoms», «The Forest Awakens» (all 1963), «Winter», «Bloody Sunday» and «January 9, 1905» (both 1964), «March», «Gray Day» (both 1963), «Summer 1941 of the year» (1967), «Young Khmer» (1970), «Victory!» (1972), The Golden Forest (1972), The Duel, The Death of the Brave (both 1975), The Summer Garden, The Commander (both 1977), June 22, 1941, «Portrait of Tanya Gorelova» (Both 1980), «Night call» (1991) and others.
In 1978 Oboznenko was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR. In 1989-1992, the artist's works were successfully presented at exhibitions and auctions of Russian painting L 'Ecole de Leningrad in France.
Oboznenko Dmitry Georgievich died on June 19, 2002 in St. Petersburg in the seventy-second year of life. His works are in the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, in museums and private collections in Russia, Germany, Britain, France, USA, Italy and other countries. The only son of Oboznenko Dmitry Georgievich is the famous artist Slavinsky Ivan Efimovich (last name and patronymic by stepfather).
