Shuraev Alexander Ilyich

Shuraev Alexander Ilyich (1926-1986) - graphic artist, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1957. Born on September 8, 1926 in the village of Shilovka, Kursk region. Graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin (graphic studio of A.F. Pakhomov) (1949-1955). Thesis at the All-Russian Academy of Arts - a series of etchings, rating - good. The training took place at the graphic faculty. Qualified as a graphic artist. He worked in etching and lithography. He is the author of many works devoted to Leningrad and other cities of the USSR. He died in 1986 in Leningrad.
