Vetrogonsky Vladimir Alexandrovich (1923, Vologda region. - 2002, Leningrad) - People's Artist of Russia, Member of the Academy of Arts. Vladimir Alexandrovich studied at the Art School at the Academy of Arts. In 1951 he graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin. In 1952 he was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR, in 1969 - to the Union of Journalists of the USSR. Since 1973 - Dean of the Faculty of Graphics at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. IE Repina, professor, head of the creative workshop. Corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Arts, full member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1988).
Works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, in many regional museums.
