David Borisovich Borovsky (1926-2004) - Russian theater artist, graphic artist. The famous master-schedule from Leningrad. He studied at the State Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Repin (Academy of Arts of the USSR), where he was a student of L.I. Rudakov and V.M. Konashevich. (1952 g). Gained fame after the design of the novel by I. Turgenev «Spring Water». Member of all-Union and international exhibitions of Soviet graphics in Poland, East Germany, Czechoslovakia and Bulgaria. In 1954, the Tretyakov Gallery included a number of his works in the permanent exhibition of the Soviet department. In 1990, the artist leaves the graphics and completely switches to the painting technique. The main themes of his work are - ballet, portrait, landscape, childhood. The works of D. Borovsky are stored in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum.
