Rostovtsev Vadim Nikolaevich

Rostovtsev Vadim Nikolaevich (1906-1977) - Soviet graphic artist, painter. Brother of the artist Rostovtsev Yuri Nikolaevich (1906-1971). In 1925-1926 he studied at the woodworking faculty of the Higher Artistic and Technical Workshops (Moscow). Studied in the studio of D. N. Kardovsky (1927–1928). In 1928-1930 he studied first at the painting, then at the graphic faculty of the Leningrad Higher Institute of Art and Technology. In connection with the transfer of the graphic faculty, he studied at the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute (1930–1932). He was a student of V.A.Favorsky. Lived and worked in Moscow.
