Elena Sergeevna Speranskaya (born in 1946) was born in the family of the famous Leningrad architect S.B. Speransky. In 1963 she entered the Leningrad Art School. In 1975 she graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E.Repin in the workshop of Professor V.A. Vetrogonsky. The received education (graphic specialization) determined the general direction of her work. 1975 to 1992 the artist worked a lot in the experimental lithographic workshop named after N.A. Tyrsy.
Since 1980 he has been a member of the graphic section of the Leningrad branch of the Union of Artists. A large collection of the artist's prints is in the collection of the Russian National Library, as well as in numerous private collections in Russia and abroad.
