Yakerson Iosif Shalomovich (1936, Leningrad). From 1947 to 1954 studied at High art school at Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture of I.E. Repin (IZhSA of I.E. Repin) in Leningrad. Then from 1954 to 1960 in IZhSA of I.E. Repin at Babasyuk, Fomin, E.E. Moiseenko. It began to be exposed still being a pupil of high art school, since 1947. In 1973 emigrated to Israel. From now on I.Sh. Yakerson's works are exposed at many personal and collective exhibitions in Israel, the USA, Switzerland, Australia, Russia. I.Sh. Yakerson's pictures are stored in the museums, galleries and private collections, such as Vatican Museum of Modern Art, private collection of the queen of the Netherlands, Museum of Artillery in St. Petersburg, Vassar College Museum in New York, etc.
